Founded and run by students and recent grads, we understand the challenges young professionals face during the climate job search because we’ve been through it ourselves. That’s why we’re on a mission to empower the next generation of climate professionals.
We work with universities, climate tech companies, and other organizations to show students that there is a place for them in climate, no matter their major or background.
When C2C Co-founder Larsen Burack was a senior at Elon University, he had a long-standing interest in climate solutions. The problem: he didn’t know how to find a job at the intersection of climate and business, and his university didn’t have the resources or connections to support him.
He connected with Abid Sikder at Princeton University who shared a similar experience. To learn more about climate career opportunities, the two began hosting virtual, monthly meetups featuring young climate professionals who shared about their journeys into climate tech to help educate students. That’s how College to Climate was born.
By the time they’d landed climate jobs themselves, they’d build a community hungry for more. In response to the demand, they created the College to Climate Launchpad, our four-week flagship program designed to help students and recent grads start their careers in climate.
Today, we’ve expanded to offer professional development programs that up-skill university staff to better support students interested in pursuing careers in climate and sustainability. We also host Symposiums, climate career fairs, and offer flexible consulting to help employers connect with qualified, climate-passionate young talent.
Our leadership team spans various role types across the climate tech sector, including venture capital, communications, data science, engineering, and more. Each team member brings specialized expertise and a broad network of professionals that enrich our collective mission to help young people forge meaningful climate careers.
